Zealous... Didn't want to do it

Heck ya dude, I need to give my car some TLC - snowboarding season consumed almost all my weekends. Now that wifey has a broken arm, and the season is simmering down, I can go back to my weekly love affair with my car. =)
I'm still in the market for a new lip, just haven't pulled the trigger on it because when I do get it, I want to respray the front end of the car... then get the clear bra put back on.

Pad is good... about settled in now. You can say it was a blessing in disguise that I was able to upgrade after my old place went up in flames literally.
I just did a complete detail... wash, clay bar, polish, finish, paint protector and wax. Once I get the clear bra on I want to take some pics. We should meet up and do that photo shoot we talked about.

Need some opinions on the install. I added new pics on page 1 with the bracket painted flat black but with out the plastic OEM bracket. The only problem with this set up is that now the OEM holes are showing now.

it took me 4.5 years to finally get stopped for not having a front plate, I too didn't want to drill holes so I went this route...I actually kept it on it looks like its custom..

This is exactly what my car looks like today. no drilled holes just use the front bumper tow hook.

exactly, just unscrew plate, put towhook plug back on and presto no front plate and no drill holes...Honestly I get alot of people checking out my front end when they drive by...I guess trying to figure out why my plate looks like that.

Axis77, I get the same kind of attention. Some people think it's cool, others think it's ugly. But I like it
However, never put your car thru those brush or curtain car washes, it will almost always loosen the RHO Plate. It happened to me multiple times with the same results.

Actually, it's originally tilted to avoid traffic camera to snap a good photo of your plates. If you angle it a certain degree, the plate will be unreadable by the traffic cameras. But the cops can still be able to read it so it's still legal. Law says your plate has to be readable (by cops or any person) and can't be covered.
Asian countries have the most traffic cameras... we (CA) have them at intersections... Asia has it practical everywhere on streets, tunnels, railroad crossings, you name it. So they have to think of this
I'm not sure what they do about the rear plates
I don't think it has anything to do with aerodynamics... if it was to direct air into intercooler, it's actually disrupting the air. That's why JDM turbo cars like Evos have their plates mounted on the right or left.
