Swapping Tires + TPMS
I need put my summer tires back on my IS and I dont want to take it back to the dealer to do the swap, its just way to expensive there. The tires are off rims so I need to find a place that won't scratch the rims but my question is if I take it to any non-dealer for the swap, how is the TPMS affected? does it need to be reset?

I swapped mine about 2/3 weeks ago - got new rims/tires and they were able to move two sensors (two were corroded and wouldn't break free).... they put them on but I saw told they could NOT calibrate them (could have just meant the two new ones) .... they said only Lexus/Toyota had the codes.
Local Toyota dealer did it for me for $40 + tax

You should just buy a second set of tpms off oewheels and program them as a second set. It'll save you the hassle of getting it switched out. Oh and you will not need to reset. The old tpms is already programmed to your car.

easiest way to do it. Just get a 2nd set of wheels with a 2nd set of tpms sensors and have the dealer program the sensors to your 2nd set on the car. every time you switch tires, all you'll have to do is select the appropriate tpms sensors using the satellite buttons on your left and you're done.
