Default Quick question before purchasing an IS!

Is there a thread where people post about how much they paid for+package or something like that? I'm about to pick up brand new IS250 this week from the dealer with the f sport package and was wondering people were paying for theirs. Thanks in advance!

I just got mine. Certain people would kill me for telling you what i paid because i used to sell Lexus cars with them. z

Few things to keep in mind:

Where do you live?
There will be a shortage of cars soon because of the Tsunami in Japan.

I used to sell them, so yes i got a steal price. It helps having friends who run dealerships.

The programs changed on the 4th of April i believe, so I'm not sure what incentives exist now. But, i can tell you that i was able to take advantage of $1,000 loyalty cash (for previous owners, or if you live with Lexus owners. have to prove by showing DL with same address).

The F you are looking at stickers around 40 and some change i believe, and if you can get the loyalty cash you should be down around 35k before tax. That's a good deal. But, the bay area will be more than so-cal since the supply is limited. I used to sell to a lot of people who lived in Frisco and drove down to so-cal.

Damn. Seems the deal is no longer available. Do you know if I buy a car from a dealership from another city, could I send the car to a dealership closer by to maintenance/ect? I'm going to stop by the dealer tomorrow night and it's my first brand new car purchase thanks in advance!

You can service and get warranty work done anywhere. If you purchase dealer exclusive things (low jack, tint, etc...) you will have to have that installed and warrantied at the dealer you bought from.

Few helpful shopping tips:
-be nice to the sales person. they are the key to your good deal.
-show them you are serious; take a drive, run your credit, something of that nature.
-submit for a few quotes online. This will let you know what they are going for in your area.
-Any deal between invoice and $200 over is good right now. Any deal less than invoice is really good and you should feel good about the purchase.

If you have the means, take a drive to So Cal if you are not getting the deal you want up North. But work the deal online/over phone before driving down.

You can PM me with more questions if you want.

Double check the deals available over here. Just don't believe the salesman.

I used http://www.truecar.com

It's an awesome site which tells you what other people are paying around your location. I got my IS250 in the Great Price range (factory invoice).

It all comes down to your negotiation skill and market timing. If they are selling the car you want left and right easily, chances are, they are not going to give you a great deal.

Where are you in CA? I'm actually doing research for my friend right now and the best deal i found so far is $875.00 under invoice. I'm going to email couple more dealership around to see if they can beat it. Thats what I did when I purchased my 2010 IS250 Base model (17inc, non navi, non HID) for 2k under invoice.
