Yea what everyone else said if u can afford it then do it and enjoy your passion for cars, if not then keep what you have it sounds amazing already. Regardless you'll come out a winner in the end lol

People think That Buying an IS F is all about racing and speed tickets, and its not. The IS F is a full Sport/luxury car, and its all about the feel and the impact has on you every time you drive it and see it. I can see you have a large investment in your car, and basically you're going to throw that away. I would recomend for you take the IS F for a test drive, feel the car and then go back to your IS350 (which in my opinion has a great feel) and if the is350 doesnt feel "right" anymore do it.. But remember that if you invested on the is350 youll probably would invest more in the IS F. Just do whats best for you and what makes you happy!

I say keep your 350. How often are you even going to get the chance to use the extra power of the F? I just got my 350 and only putt back and forth to work. Which annoys me because I find myself thinking I should have just got the 250 and saved some cash, not to mention money on gas...

you only live once. i'd go with the is-f if it's within your price range/budget. if you're stretching any at all to get it, it's not worth it.

No offense but it seems like every other month you are contemplating about adding something to your car. So either you have a decent amount of disposable income or you're never satisfied with your ride in which case you prob. wont be satisfied with the F either. Either way i live vicariously through your constant mods since i can't spend as much.

Wow, that's a long mod list. I'd keep the 350 in your place, then move to a GTR someday, or something else that's equally impressive.

If you were deciding between a 2011 IS350 and a well-kept 2008 IS-F for the same price range, I would have suggested getting the IS-F. Since you are a current IS350 owner (with plenty of money spent on mods) and deciding if the additional 17k investment is worth the upgrade to an IS-F, IMHO, the cost-to-performance difference is probably not worth it.

With coils + sways or F-Sport Shocks/Springs and sways for an additional $1200-1500 in parts, the IS350 can provide similiar handling capabilities of a non-torsen lsd 08-09 IS-F . As stated by many CL members that participated in the F-sport track day events, the IS350 F-sport inspires more confidence around the track with its lighter weight compared to the heavier IS-F.

Now that the handling factor has been addressed, is the $15.5k worth the extra 2 cylinders, 8 speed tranny, bolstered seats, bigger brakes, and the love-it or hate-it body kit of the IS-F? That is a question I ask myself quite frequently when I look at my IS350 and ponder if it is worth the investment as I'm always craving for more performance (as most with the mod bug do!). In the end, if I did upgrade to an IS-F, sitting inside the car would feel almost the same as the IS350 except the car is now on steroids!

My current plan is to wait and see what the next gen IS-F looks like and what its performance specs are. If the performance is only marginally better than the first gen IS-F, the route I plan to take is to purchase a used 2011 IS-F which has the retuned suspension and torsen lsd available.

This is my plan of action and hopefully it will throw in a few new thoughts on what you want to do with your current IS.

I would get the F, thats my plan, had the 350 but wanted more power, instead of paying 15k to get the extra 100hp, get the entire car, you're not just getting the power. You are getting an updated interior, LSD, a more aggressive front end, a more appealing rear, and the amazing sound of a v8 and much more, drive one and youll understand. The main reason i havent started looking is because the insurance would murder a 21y.o. My congrats present to myself after im done with surgical tech school will be a matador red F with alpine white interior. Its up to you and how secure you are in your financial situation. But cars are how i blow off steam and get away from work and the real world, so why not have the one you want
