Do you mean the oval indentation at the "bend" of the "L" piece? If so, I'm not sure why it's there but my best guess is that it's part of the mold/molding process. It doesn't really matter because it will be covered by the emblem.

And I will definitely post pictures after I've installed it...hopefully this weekend .

Looking forward to seeing the finished product. Any plans on painting/coating the grill Lexi?

Have you considered buying a used emblem just in case you want to switch back to original grill?

Guys:

This thread has been discussed before and quite recently with answers to all of your questions about the Ebay grille:

Here's a short cut to my install and thoughts:

No current plans to paint it unless the plastic looks terrible once installed. Actually, I intended to buy a new emblem for it since my existing one is marred from years of enduring rocks and debris on the road, but the grille came in SO MUCH sooner than I expected that in my eagerness to "pop" it in, I was thinking about re-using it. I may end up just ordering a new one and waiting to do it right

You're right, it has been discussed before! However, to my knowledge, not regarding this particular grille from this eBay seller. I thought others might want to know about this one as there may be differences.

It's the same grille. Just a different seller....

Oh, You are very lucky. (maybe)
Someone made easy!!! PNP for mesh grill.
I took 2days to modify Version-F (for Canada and JPN) grill to fit my 07.
If I knew this, I may go for it. Seems like shape and color bit different from OEM but PNP is good.

For 120 that was a better deal that i can pull the trigger, when it came out with 200 I wasn't so sure about it.
Somebody should ask for a group buy deal if the outcome from Lexi is good

I don't think any excuses need to be made in this case, as there simply isn't an OEM or non-replica option out there. I'm in the same boat as you; if Lexus had made an F-Sport grille for the '06-'08, I'd have purchased it, even if it had been a bit more expensive. I think replicas should only be shunned if there truly is a non-replica option out there.

EDIT: Group buy is out of the question due to this rule:

Group Buys, Bulk Sales and Gathering Interest Posts
Group Buys (GB) or bulk sales are allowed ONLY in conjunction with a Club Lexus authorized vendor. ‘Gathering interest’ posts for group buys or new products are also not allowed without the prior support of an authorized Club Lexus vendor which can be coordinated directly through the vendor or requested of moderators or the forum administrator. Linking to group buys sponsored by non-CLUB LEXUS vendors or on other sites/forums is not allowed.

Inappropriate GB posts will be promptly closed or removed without notice.

It's a bit disappointing, since there are no CL vendors selling this product, and we'd clearly be working with them if there was. In any case, I wanted to remove this post so the thread doesn't get closed/deleted, since it's still a valuable thread to those interested in the product.
