OK well then I guess a group buy is out of the question. It's a bit disappointing since there are no CL authorized vendors selling this product, but the rules are rules. I'll inform optionracing we can't do a group buy if they get back to me.

now we need a CL vendor to standup and get this going. I don't see too much trouble since there are multiple vendors on ebay has them and the interests on this forum are pretty high.

Yeah I'm not sure how we'd go about rallying a vendor, but I'm all for it. The only problem is that to manufacture something like this, a vendor would have to design and built a production mold for this particular grille, and that represents a pretty hefty up-front investment for something that can only be used for one thing. We could probably drum up 15-20 buyers (as seen on this thread) very easily, but I fear that wouldn't be enough to justify someone starting from the ground up. In addition, they'd be entering knowing that there's already competition (2 eBay sellers) and their prices are very competitive, $200 and $100. The eBay sellers were attractive because they've already made the investment and are selling the products.

I still may end up buying from them off eBay, but the prospect of a group discount definitely spurred me to buy. There's no question if there was a CL vendor that sold this, we could work something out given the above-expressed interest.

Guys you can PM your favorite CL vendor that typically carries this type of product to see if they can get this item and arrange a GB. Alternatively when the optionracing guys respond they could sign up to be a forum vendor themselves (not sure how much Lexus product they carry)
