Nice ride bud.

Does anyone know why Lexus discontinued AFS for 2011?

LED's only come with HID's. 2011's without HID do not have LED. It was said, but I thought I'd reiterate.

As for why they discontinued AFS, I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it has to do with the design of the headlight now that it has the LED's. I know in Europe you can still get AFS on the 2011's, but if you do, then you don't get the LED's.

So it's either no-HID, no-LED; HID without AFS, with LED; or HID with AFS, no-LED.

EDIT: It was not an early/late thing. They're still making them without LED's.

From what I heard it was a cost issue. It was an expensive option that didn't add to the value of the car and was costly to repair.

It's not a factory job, neither are the wheels.

Local dealer/distributor/shop probably did the black chrome.

That makes sense. BUT! I'd be pissed if I bought the latest model and it didn't have the AFS as apposed to buying an older model that did... personally I'd choose the AFS over the stupid Audi wannabe LEDs.
