Sick..Need help, I got my car from the shop today, when my LED stripe was on but my high-beam still have DRL function but only driver side, should I go to dealer to decline my DRL function for my high beam?

How come only one side works ? Is the bulb bad? I would go to the dealer and diable the drl's if you daily your car or use the high beams a lot. I just left mine unplugged( hopefully it dosn't cause an issue). I can't remember the last time even using my high beams or needing it, but i also don't drive my very car often.

 

Thanks, I have PIAA for my highbeam, Even I DD my car, but I probably also gonna unplug those bulbs, The dealership won't help me out to disable my DRL even I would pay for them. They said that's federal LAW

 

Really? Toyota said they would do it for me . Maybe try calling a different dealership?

Thanks! The 2011's don't have afs, so it blinks it's *** off right now. However, i do have custom fabricated peice of electrical tape i put over it, works really well until i pull the bulb.

try Magnussen Lexus in Fremont.. they will disable it for you but you have to pay them

the led strip is the DRL for MY2011 but not for any of the MY's before that?

from what i've read on the led headlight thread, you have to turn the headlight stalk on click to turn on the led strip (which means the parking light, amber refelctor, and the led strip turns on).

i'd like to have it function as the drl without having to turn the headlight stalk one click.

 

Can u post a pic of your custom fabricated electricl tape? I'm curious how it looks.

 

^Lol, yeah i'll take some. It looks ghetto, but it does it's job. I'm definitely pulling the led when i get a chance.
