Default 12 V power source in the trunk? and another question (Reguarding train horn install)

I own some train horns, they are currently in another car that I don't daily drive...

Just got cutoff by some ******* running a red arrow and I nearly hit him. It's time to move these bad boys over to the lexus.

Can anyone think of a good power source in the trunk? Reason --> finding a spot for a compressor and a tank in the engine bay looks almost impossible. It's going to have to be in the trunk somewhere.

Also - how about running a 1/2 inch hose from the trunk to the engine bay, any ideas on where that might be easy/good to do?

In for answers cuz I've love to get me a set of train horns no doubt! LOL

Perhaps a DIY thread for the future install?

In my other car (bronco) it was a pretty simple install. However with how "solid" this car is and how new I am to it, I'm worried that it's going to be tough to run the air line from the trunk to the engine bay. I've seen other installs on similar cars, but they just put everything in the trunk and then drill a hole right through and mount the horns in the back..

I'm installing 0 gauge stereo wiring from the battery to the trunk. You may be able to put it through the trunk past the seat and along the sides of the door sills, past the dash and in through the firewall. Not sure how thick the air hose is, but air suspension does the same with an air compressor and tank in the trunk. I've heard some of these on you tube. It's CRAZY!! Good luck!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enF0m6J7g2w <-- I like this smart car train horn ! Sounds more like a express train!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbKvHzCUKBA <- now this would be the ideal train horn!

This is how you're going to probably have to do it. The hole in the firewall is large enough to fit both power wires and an air lines through.

Ok, so there's really no good 12 volt source in he trunk? Like to an amp or something?

My worst fear was that there was no way to get a hose through the trunk to go forward, but it seems like ya'll say there is.

It's 1/2 inch air line that has to go front..
