Dynolicious App for Iphone
#5
It tried it and it sucked, buyer beware. Not only that but its not even updated for retina display from the version I tried out. I'll try it again if you want but it definitely wasnt worth it when I tried it (was totally off)

why pay when u get it free?
he basic Bosch Light 'Em Up Dyno app is available at no charge. This version can be upgraded to the full-featured app with a touch of a button. The cost is $4.99, but with the Light 'Em Up rebate program for Bosch Spark Plugs, the full-featured app is free after the rebate with the purchase of Bosch spark plugs. Visit www.lightemup.com for a link to the app.

Course, according to the product finder on that website, they don't make spark plugs for the IS350...

I have the dynolicious app and luv it, if you set everything up and use all the correct info about your car including the weight it works, i used it at the track and it was only off by plus or minus a tenth of a second, so when i ran a 8.39 in the 8th at my local track the app said i ran a 8.44 that’s pretty close for an iphone app, the 60foot 0 to 60 everything was dead on! The only thing i don’t think it reads correct is the hp rating every run the hp rating on the app said i had 450 to 465 witch seems high to me
all in all pretty cool app but make sure you input all your cars correct info and you have to calibrate the app its really easy and every thing is under the setup in the app.you have to set up roll out speed rollout distance the trigger for the g meter, weight of car, correct drivetrain loss and the average stats of your car, if set up correct than it works, their is a online manual that shows you how to set everything up right, everyone who says it sucks set the app up wrong and just does not know how to use the app.
well worth the 13 bucks it cost and very fun to use! u can save different profiles with different mods really helpful b/c you can see the gains and losses of each mod you perform on your car! you can see how your car runs in cold weather, hot weather, good air or bad air b/c its on your phone and so convenient to hit the button and blast a quick 8th mile or quarter mile on your way to lunch or home from work! Lol

The "full" answer?
Dyno the engine on an engine dyno, then dyno the whole car on chassis dyno.
This involves removing and reinstalling the engine though.
A less insane way requires you to trust the hp number from the maker of the car (306 for an IS350) at the engine... then run on a chassis dyno. Then do the math.
265 is the most common rwhp # I see for the IS350.
Given 306 at the motor that is a drivetrain loss of about 13.4%
