Default 2011 IS F-Sport Seat Position

So I just picked up a 2011 IS250 F Sport. I'm 5'11 150lbs. I can't seem to get the "sweet spot" with the seat position. I've messed with the lumbar, height, length etc. Once I get my seat position right, then I'm not comfortable with the steering wheel height and length. I'm by no way tall, but when I feel like I'm almost to where I want to be, my head is almost in the headliner.

Did it take you guys a while to get use to the seat position? This is my first non Honda/Acura product. Just came from a Acura RDX and a Honda S2000.

I'm 5'11" 165, and like you the 2011 F Sport is my first non Honda/Acura purchase in about 20 years. I prefer the F Sport seats and position to the Honda products, with one caveat. When I put the steering wheel in the low comfy position, it cuts off the top of the instrument panel obscuring the turn signal indicators.

The seat position in the IS is more like a rally racer (ie upright) vs. Honda, Mazda which is more low slung.

A little better....still not there yet though lol.

I've had in 4 Civic's (race seats etc.) 3 S2000's, an Acura TSX and a Acura RDX and the first day was able to find where I want to be.

This is driving me nuts. At least she looks good!

Good luck. it is a totally different feel. I've been driving Honda's and Acura's for the past 12 years and it took me some getting used to. Other than the IS-F seats, there is a serious lack of side bolstering compared with the newer Acura seats. That being said, the Lex seat is softer and will be super comfortable when you find the sweet spot.

Put it all the way down. Then raise the bottom fron to increase thigh support.
Adjust back as desired.
Works perfect for me. I am 5'10".

found my sweet spot withing 2 minutes. Now I just gotta loose a few pounds or hope the bolsters widen a bit on the seatback. They are a bit snug, but are worth it. Love the f sport!

When I had the IS-F seat in my IS250 I had to recline the seat back more than upright. The seat was all the way down and i adjusted the seat front a little higher to raise my knees.
