Default Lexus repair shop in NOVA

Does anyone know a good lexus repair shop in Chantilly/Sterling area? Pohanka is trying to charge me $2280 to replace front rotor/pad and rear caliber/rotor/pads. I just laughed and walked away. I plan on ordering the parts from Sewell.

If you're at all DIY inclined, there's a shop called Do It Yourself Mechanics in Sterling. They've got 2-post lifts available for $20/hour. I and 2 other CL members met up there and installed our sway bars. It's a great, clean, safe facility with all the tools you'd need. I highly recommend it, and when I'm due for brakes I'll probably use it myself.

Why do you need calipers?

I have heard good things about Satellite Motors in Silver Spring. I know this may be a drive for you but at least give them a look.

They "say" the rear calipers are shot. But they don't sound like they are.

Has anyone been to that Exxon gas station that's right on Rt. 50 next to Harris Teeter and the police station? They do work on Lexus and charge $90 an hour.

$90 an hour is the labor rate at a GAS station?! o_o

That's more like the labor rate at dealerships here!

Don't know anything in the NOVA area but come down to the 757 and there is plenty to choose from. Or just DIY, I'm sure there is a thread here that shows you.

Jay-b: Go to Stock or Modified. I got my lip kit painted there and it turned out really nice. They are a little pricey but you get what you pay for!

Edit: Sorry, didn't know you were in NOVA too. But if you come down, thats the place to go.

I usually get my work done by Joey at Stork or Modified, im from the Va. Beach area, but moved up north for work. I can drop it of and get Joey to paint it, but not sure if he would have time do get it installed on weekends, when im home. Thanks for the help though.

Yup, Pohanka has a nice waiting room, but it ends up being an expensive cup of coffee. I have been having my 2000 RX serviced at Alexandria Toyota. They have no problem working on a Lexus and use genuine Toyota parts. I had all four sets of pads replaced and the rotors resurfaced, lube, oil & filter and tire rotation for a little over $600. They will honor their Toyota's coupons on a Lexus. If you go there I have always used "Sadco" as my service adviser.

With the first two services included with the RX450h I figure I have a little while before I need to worry about it.
