So I a month back i had someone lightly hit my front bumperand driver sider fender where the two meet. I took it to a local body shop to get fixed. Now a month later I realized my headlight washers don't work properly. When i hit the button they go up halway and just stop. If i hold the botton water squirts out but not at the high pressure it used to. If i hold it even longer they go up all the way but they never retract, they just stay up. I have to manaully push them down. I'm not sure if I should bring it back to the bodyshop or bring it to Lexus.
The only way to void an entire warranty on a car is to write it off. If it was damaged because of the collision, Lexus has every right not to repair it under warranty, they'd likely charge you for it (for good reason). The body shop on the other hand does have a responsibility to repair it. That was their job, I'd go back to them.
So does as anyone know how the headlamp washers work? How are they mounted on the inside of the bumper? I'm trying to figure out what could have gone wrong for the washers not to work.
Well that's what i'm trying to figure out. They are connected because they do go up, just not all the way. They do spray but just not as powerful. It's weird. I don't know what could have gone wrong. I'm assuming the setup is simple.
