One line sums up my thoughts on this thread:

"YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE!"

Get the F and forget about gas efficiency and all that bs. Once you test drive the F there is no way in h*** you'll even touch the 350. Seeing that you have owned BMW(overpriced imo), I am sure you can afford the F, and it's the most bang for the buck when compared to the competition.

Having said all this, dont let anybody else decide for you. Only you can decide whats best for you brotha'. I hope you make the right decision.

Seems like the OP really likes the idea to be able to modify his DD. So if that's the case, the 350 offers alot of that really. But will you attain results like those of the F? Probably not, but can you put a price on saying...yeah, I did that! All me.

If you not a care in the world about modifing a car, then an F would definitely fit the bill.

Seeing you are coming from a sub-300whp car, I'm sure you'll be very happy...as was I coming from a 100hp Civic! LOL

I'm sure the 350 will be fine, I rarely have a chance to unleash it.

Agreed, the 350 is plenty quick and I rarely get a chance to open it up for more than a couple of seconds.

Both 350 and -F are fine, I've driven both.

I'm all for "going green", but i HATE hybrids! They're slow and take their time in the left lane! lol

True...anyone will always find a way to mod their car one way or another!

Has nothing to do with $, well maybe. I just don't want to get stuck with a money pit of a car for maintenance. The tires on the IS-F don't last very long (as indicated by Lexus themselves), brake pads, etc...

It's "her" dd , and yes I do like the idea of being able to modify my car! After all both my BMW's are modified! Modding does give you the sense of pride that all that work was your idea!

Coming from owning BMWs for a while...not gonna lie, but I'd have to say that the Lexus IS-F far better than an M in terms of quality. Both the Lexus and Audi have better craftsmanship than the BMW... (just my 2 cents)

Dunno, sitting in a friend's E90, I noticed the materials used in the interior sucked a lot more than a Lexus.

The materials used in the newer BMWs are ****! Bought my E90 brand new, fully loaded and the interior had this plastic aluminum trim and plenty of hard plastic parts! Majority of the plastic now on the handles, steering wheel are peeling off, also I noticed Lexus has much softer leather seats!
