"by the book" it's an oil change every 5k miles.
UOA suggests you can go a fair bit longer than that (and a LOT longer if you use synthetic) but it's 5k by the book.
Your car will light up every 5k and tell you (it has no idea the condition of your oil, just that 5k has passed)

I use synthetic and change every 10,000 miles....and that's still probably very conservative.
nice and easy...every time my car hits a nice even number, I change the oil.
As others have said, you'll get a notification through the Nav as well as a light on the dash. Very easy to reset if you're doing it yourself.

You'll get the service light once you reach 4500.
