hahahaha, funny guy
some people i know take the traction control and ABS systems out of their car (apparently you short out the wires for it or something like that) cause they like it that way or just buy a car without the features
but of course if your not a real driver, then dont touch it
its not that *BLEEP*ing hard...
remove the features if you can handle it, if you can't then dont
friend recently bought a HSV Maloo (fastest ute/pickup in the world) and optioned it without traction control

trying to play fair for both sides here...
i think the nav disabling should be wired through the passenger air bag. if someone is sitting in the passenger seat to where the air bag is enabled, it should also enable the use of the nav with car in motion.
would that make you happy OP?

Now I just need a 50-lb sack of potatoes for that empty passenger seat

No, my other hand is picking songs while my right leg is on the pedal and the left knee is doing the steering =] people usually have a nice system in their trunk... I have a mini refrigerator there with full accessibility from the back seats for refreshments. gotta show my passengers how its like to be in a Lexus!

I'm not flaming...it just needed to be said that's all...nothing more nothing less...make of it what you will and yes..I agree that all safety related hacks should be removed. Seatbelt dings are one thing but hacking the navi could get someone killed...I'm just sayin.
And what about passengers... http://i.autoblog.com/2011/04/28/opinion-automakers-let-my-wife-use-the-nav/
Also you don't have to hack the and splice wires. There are simple plug and play units like NavTool and Prestigious Society (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=567587)
