Default Tires for my IS AWD advice

Hi,
I am just about to buy a set of SSR – Runflat Tires from Continental 225/45/17 from craigslist. I did some reviews of this tire and all of the users are mostly bimmers, now my question is would this fit on my IS? is anyone from here using this tires for you stock rims?

225/45/17 is the stock tire size for an IS250 AWD so, yes they will fit.

Im running the OEM rims for my IS 250 AWD 2006 model. CUrrently I have 245 45 17 winter tires at the rear and was wondering if the slightly wider 255 / 45 /17 setup. Would it rub the arches? Cheers

OP, before you jump onto these tires, i hope you know that run-flats are notorious for having a very uncomfortable ride.

No, it would easily clear the arches. the RWD version normally comes with 255 in the rear and as far as I know, all 2IS have the same demensions; so all the wheel arches should be exactly the same size.

but why would you have staggered tire size when your AWD...FYI, thinner tires are better for winter thats if your driving through snow
