Default 2006 IS250 No Trunk Light

Yesterday I drove my friend home and he lives in a pitch black area and he had to get something from the back but both of us couldn't see anything so I had to use my cell phone's camera flash to see. I have my car for almost two years now and I just realized there's light in the trunk

Can anyone else confirm?

I don't have my car with me but most cars have a toggle on the light housing itself.

get in the trunk and while laying down, close the trunk and see what happens. Call for help after 30 min. HAHAHA! just kidding. It turns off automatically when closed.

Yep! Find the clear housing lens itself and you will find the toggle switch...

LOL. No need... there is a glow-in-the-dark lever that you can pull inside the drunk IF you happen to lock yourself in. This should open the trunk.

That lever also makes it harder to kidnap someone in the trunk.

Just take out the lever when you're kidnapping someone.

^^^ I think so too.

I tell people at my work that the lever is the parachute. My car is fast and in emergency braking situation, I need to deploy the chute. Lol
