It's too bad you found them, i was in the process of inventing a signal flux capacitor that would have detected it if you were within 3 inches of the fob...
That's nuts. I agree though, sounds kind of shady. How could the keys get wedged in there that far under the dash.
Reminds me of a prominent doctor that purchased one of my S2000's. He asked if I had ever taken the car apart inside and out. I was like well I have taken the seats out to clean under them, but other than that, the only things I have taken apart were things needed to mod.
He said every car he buys used he strips completly to make sure there are no drugs or illegal things in the cars. Or else he could loose his practice.
A little odd, but I have found rolling papers in a civic I purchased from a dealership, under the shift boot.
I'm not gonna lie this whole thread was fun reading through. And I do like happy endings. Glad the keys were found and the doors can be locked and the car will be safe.
Glad you found the keys! Odd that they were behind the carpet. The transport person should have told you where they were or that they could not find them.
Found them!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were tucked inside the carpet by the pedals. That was driving me crazy! Thanks everyone for all the advise! I can get some sleep now.

WOW man! Wouldn't it have just been better for them to put it in the center console?

A lady I know bought her son a Z24 for a first car. The boy ended up finding a .38 special stashed under the center console when he was cleaning the car. He was TOTALLY freaked out! Great idea to check those used cars out!
