Default 2006 IS350 starting issues

I just bought a 2006 is350 with 75k miles. The car will start fine in the morning, sit 4 hours then when i go to lunch it starts fine. Sits 4 more hours then when i leave work i have to hit the start button 3-4 times to get it to start. The gauges will all go up then come back back to nothing. Sometimes after the gauges drop back down i hear a clicking sound almost like the battery. Just seems if was a battery issue it would happen in the morning. I got the " low remote batt" warning light one time but switched remotes and it still does it. Any ideas?

Sounds like the battery. There is a little gauge on the top of the battery that tells you if it needs to be replaced.

Have the battery tested if you suspect it. It does sound like your car's battery though.

Checked the battery and it's good. Like I said it's fine in the morning just does it that one time a day. Makes me think it's a fuel issue.

Take the battery to have it checked by a load tester. I was having the same symptoms as you until it just wouldn't start anymore. I charged the battery out of the car for an entire weekend at low amps and the 'glass eye' says it's good, but it still won't start the car. A digital voltmeter confirms the volts are there, but it can't support the load the starter requires to turn over the engine and fire the ignition and the rest of the electronics.

A quick at-home test is, when your car won't start and seems to be at its worst, hookup jumper cables to your car and to a known good car. With the other car OFF, try to start yours. If it works, it's your battery.

i had that issue but i had all sorts of lights blinking on the dash. Turned out to be the push start had gone bad. It would start sometimes and other times it would not.
