Default From about to buy, to I did it.. My is350 and build

Hello CL!!

My name is Josh

I have been on this site for a while and decided to sign up. I am also on My.is due to I have a Is300 currently.

from stock

to

and finally to this

The info is here

http://phukingsick.com/showthread.ph...-with-my-IS300

I have been contracting in iraq for a couple years and now that i am heading home soon, I am looking to get one with atleast the following;

2006-2008 IS350
Black on Black
Navigation

is there anything i should look for when purchasing?
any kknown issues i should ask the dealer or seller?

I see this car everytime i go on r and r or anywhere and I have always told myself that it will be my next car.
I debated with the

BMW 355i
Audi A5
G37 Coupe

I settled and am looking to pick up the Is350 though!!

I am already in contact with my buddies shop in Tampa and have placed orders on the following:

-Vip Modular Vr05's
20x9.5's
20x11's

-Custom Air ride install

-Custom trunk install (4 6" subs and stacked amps for the highs, lows, subs)

-H.I.D. fog kit upgrade

I am in need of a Vertex kit though!!

I was leaning towards Wald, I just like the sleekness of the Vertex kit.

any kit you guys know that look close to the Vertex that shouldn't be that long of a wait (shipping)

Well I look forward to posting pics of my build and also hearing some input from CL.

my name on my.is is

imfamous813

also I run

Welcome to CL! With that list of cars, I'm not sure you can go wrong with any of those. They're all great cars IMO.

Looks like you've already got a lot done in the planning book for your car. Hope to see more pictures of how it'll turn out!

There should really be a sticky on "Known 2IS Issues for Potential Buyers". In any case, here are my thoughts from a similar thread:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/6388048-post24.html

By the way, if you haven't made up your mind 100% yet, I highly recommend the IS350. I came from a Mercedes E55, and I can tell you that with Lexus compared to the Germans, the service experience and reliability are much better and the repair and maintenance costs are far lower.

Alright so the car is found and just working on the transport and payment. Right now I found a super clean

2007
IS350
Black sapphire
Black leather interior
Nav, Fully loaded
! owner, no CarFax problems nor any dealer found problems. One inFL I will have Toy House run a check on it for me

It still has warranty till Dec 2011

It's $23,900

I think I am getting a great deal.

Once Picked up I will see if i can grab some pics then it's off to the shop for the build. I can't wait!!!

For the Wood trim, I am wanting to go Piano black.. painting it would be the best solution or would you guys recommend a dif route?

Nice how many miles are on the car? Get the VIN and go to the Lexus driver's site and see if they did any maintenance on it at the dealership.

For the woodgrain I'm actually going to a body shop to get a quote to paint mine paino black too

I'm curious about how many miles as well. I just bought a 2007 IS350 obsidian/cashmere fully loaded with everything but ML plus GFX and F-Sport exhaust for $24,500; it had 56k miles on it but was also CPO.

I second the above as well, take the VIN to the Lexus website and print out the dealer service history. It should tell you what they did to the car in prepping it for sale, whether anything stands out as irregular, etc.

Just because it's a pet peeve of mine-

It's almost certainly not fully loaded.

I can count on one hand the number of actually fully loaded 2ISes I've ever seen. They're very, very rare.

But lots of poorly informed folks do stuff like throw "fully loaded" on their for-sale ad because it has a nav screen in it despite missing like 10 grand in options.

Well it has 43K miles on it. Here is a link to the car

http://www.amgmotors.net/web/vehicle_photos/1242771

Also noted from the dealer is:
"2007 LEXUS IS350**BLACK ON BLACK**NAVIGATION SYSTEM**MARK LEVINSON PREMIUM AUDIO PKG**LEATHER**REAR CAMERA**SUNROOF**BLUE-TOOTH**PARKING ASSISTANCE**PREMIUM SOUND SYSTEM**SPORTS PACKAGE**HEATED/COOLED SEATS**FULLY LOADED**"

i am having it shipped through my dealer in Fl and they will re inspect it and I will grab it from them. It seems like it has a bunch of options. honestly, Black on Black with Nav was my main concern due to I will be replacing the system and doing a lot of work.

Nothing ricey or over the top, Just clean and as Lux as i can make it for right now. the mod bug never goes away so I will slowly keep adding to it.

My buddies at Lutz will be having it for the full build and he says he will surprise me with what he does to the wood grain.

I might be in Tampa around mid-late august. There is a big show on July 25th. I'd like to have the car ready for that, if not, A couple buddies of mine and my site will put together an end of summer show so i can get the car out in the public

It doesn't have ML, it doesn't have PCS, and it does NOT have the sport package.

Lotsa lies in that ad
