Default Opinions on Pinstripe?

Before anyone flips out, hear me out. When i got my maintenance the other day, i saw pinstripes on the lexus is250s in the lobby. They were very thin and subtle. I asked a salesman and he told me that they put them on sometimes. Personally i think it added some nice subtle style. I have a black lexus is250 and it's basically blacked out. With black wheels, back 3 windows tinted, black grill, just the basics. Anyways i once saw a picture of a black is250 with a white pinstripe and it looked pretty cool, i cant find the picture anymore.

I was wondering if i should add a white, maybe silver, or any other color that goes well with black for that matter, pinstripe as a subtle detail to my car but at the same time would stand out and add a different flare.

Opinions? Pictures?

Thanks!

i actually found a picture of an is with a pinstripe, but i dont like the way this one looks. Keep in mind that im a young driver and do not care for a classy look at the moment.

Definitely not a fan. Looks like someone neatly keyed the car in a straight line, lol! But to each and their own. Do what makes you happy.

I've never seen pinstripes on a Lexus before. Maybe on a Buick since they scream the 1980's or grandpa car. But...if you like, then that's all that matters! I'm sure someone may have them and slide you a pic.

I have a sgm with pinstripes, I bought it used with them on it. At first it kind of annoyed me but its grown on me. I have noticed a majority of Lexus' around dfw have them so I think its a dealer thing. However, Its a light grey stripe and its barely noticeable from a distance. I would say try it out and buy the vinyl ones from an auto store. Just make sure you dont do painted stripes, because if you dont like them you can just remove them. BTW Mine were painted and clearcoated on so they couldn't be removed.

Not a fan. If you want a fancy sticker, Junction Produce makes some. I've only seen them on LS's and GS's though. More of a VIP thing.

If you like it go for it! I wouldn't do my car though. I totally like the clean sides of the IS's. No bump moldings, just a nice large glossy surface.

Ditto..
I bought my SGM IS350 used right here in the DFW metroplex, and it, too, came with the pinstripe. I don't really notice it as much any more until I'm pretty close up to the car.
