Default Need opinions on ultimate sleeper

I have searched and found people converting thier IS X50's to look like the ISF, but haven't found anyone trying this. Put an ISF drivetrain int a IS X50. That one guy converted his 250 to an ISF because he couldn't get the F in his country but he also changed body parts. I'm talking about leaving the body parts alone so it looks stockish but having the power and sound of the V8. Can it be done? Would be the ultimate sleeper

Hmm... I wonder what more aggressive gearing would do for an IS250...

Someone needs to write a DETAILED DIY on an ISF engine swap

There one guy on the forums who posted few months back that put a V8 in his 250. So it has been done it all in how Phat your wallet is.

Its beeen said so many times, the time and money put into it you might as well just trade in the X50 and buy an is-f. And WTH, "sleeper?" seriously? Its a F-ing lexus not a honda

yea it would be much easier to just get an IS-F and change the rear bumper to something less aggressive if you want a sleeper, the fenders might still give you away though.

If you want a Lexus sleeper then buy a 1995 GS300 and swap a 2JZ-GTE into it.

it's a fairly cheap/easy swap, tens of thousands cheaper and dozens if not hundreds of hours easier... and it'll be capable of a TON more easy power than an IS-F engine.

The guy who did the V8 swap in a 250 (he used a GS430 motor by the way, not an IS-F one) dropped like 20+ grand to do it as an FYI.... it's be a lot MORE if he'd used an IS-F powertrain.

I'd love to put an IS-F engine in my Prius. Now that's a sleeper.
