Default Repair cost $2000

Hey all,

been a while anyway this time am looking for rare bumper part number.
I was reversing at night and i didn't notice the tree beside me so I hit right side of the rare bumper the clips came through. but the whole bumper is not intact only the right side between bumper and body line.

I took the car to the dealer and he said it's very expensive to repair cost around $2000. were he is going to place new bumper for such whole!!!

any suggestion?

A picture would help for us to decide. If it's just the bumper that pricey. But if it needs body work take it somewhere else unless you insurance is covering it.

That bumper is nothing compared to the damage on the rear quarter panel. The bumper is fine from the looks of the picture, just needs to be sanded down and resprayed, but the panel needs some bondo work and a respray.

they are thieves. Years back, I scraped the back bumper pretty bad. Luckily, a buddy's brother did auto paint out of his garage. He took my car for a weekend and managed to blend in the patch paint (did not paint the whole bumper). You could not notice it at all. He quoted me $150 and I paid him $250. Smoking deal.

Good luck but try looking to see if you can spot a lone wolf doing paint that will work with you.

Stay away from ANY dealership service!!! They will charge you at least twice as much as any other certified body shop to do it! and at least 3x what you can do by urself.. no matter what, stay away from dealership unless it is free

Why ordering the rear bumper online? you can get it cheap locally. I'll let you know.

Why didn't you call the cops in the first place? do something about that, because this seems like an easy fix, no need for a new bumper.
