Default Can I run 225/50/18 and 245/45/18 on my IS350?

I'm fairly confident that the rears will fit, but I'm worried about the fronts rubbing. My car is not lowered.

Has anyone here run those sizes?

i have 245/40/18 (255/40/18 was stock sports pkg) on my rears and it is just fine. maybe little smaller on diameter. 45 should be good.

I have 225/40/18 on front. i think 50 will be too tall.....45 might be ok...

btw, with my set up, my headlights are almost parallel to the road, so my rear is slightly lower than factory setting.

Why not just run the factory recommended sizes? Just curious

Guessing the NJ roads will be a little more comfy on a higher profile tire. Sacrificing performance for ride comfort. And I'd have to imagine 225/50's should be fine at stock height. Just don't post any pics or people will be riding you on owning a 4x4.

I'm running 245s in front and 285s in the rear. Not sure if you're worried about width clearance or diameter clearance. You can do the math though to figure out what the equivalent would be in an 18" wheel.... 245/30/20 in front and 285/25/20 in the rear. Front is lowered with tein htech springs 1" drop and the rear is stock suspension with rolled fenders. No rubbing at all.

I would run 235/40/18 front this is what I am running and it does not rub.

It will provide a little bit more comfort and rim protection, while keeping as close as stock size.

Runnings springs on the front only???

I've only had my 350 for a few months and I havent see this before, do you know many others that are doing it?

What are the positives and negatives?

Guessing you are looking at those sizes because you are getting a good deal on the tires. But might I suggest the OE tire sizes just for the peace of mind knowing that you'll not have to worry about rubbing or anything else? Well, except for screws/nails/saw blades/etc. LOL!
