Long story short, someone punched the shark fin antenna off of my car and I took it to the dealership for repair. They "repaired" it but there is still a small gap (maybe 1 to 2 mm) between the roof and the outer gasket around the base of the antenna. The dealership claims that they "water tested" it by spraying it with water after they had already put the car completely back together and that it wasnt leaking. I asked how they could possible be sure it wasnt leaking if the headliner was installed and they just stood their ground that there was no leak. I have not accepted the car yet.
Would you accept this repair or would you demand that it be redone? Keep in mind this will result in body work to straighten the roof in order for the antenna to sit flush. There is apparently an extremely small bend in the roof that is keeping it from sitting flush. I dont really know what is involved with leveling the roof but i imagine it is tricky.
thoughts? suggestions?

any chance they could get a paintless dent repair company to pull the roof out?
or you could get the dealership to give you something in writing that warranties the work against leakage for as long as you own the car.

Thanks.
Anyone else have any opinions?

You could also ask that they reinforce the opening in the roof with some silicon gel or something similar to make sure water doesn't seep in. This would require them to remove the antenna and gel around the hole before replacing.
