sold my is300 for 10k which was my down payment for my is250 awd. took out about 24k loan, bought my car brand new in 11/07. made payments till about march 09 won about 50k at foxwoods, paid it off and bought some mods, other then that i wouldnt mod my car cause i bought a house. i turned 25 back in march.i like to say i make good money, im the executive chef at a successful restaurant

I'm on of the fortunate ones. I'm 21 and got a '10 IS250 after my birthday. My parents decided that the '96 ES300 hand-me-down was getting a bit rusty so my mom surprised with a trip to the dealership. Little did I know, she was ready to deal that day!!

I got a 6 month internship at a major tech company in 07, and managed to save up a good amount of money. Shortly after, I totalled my Scion tC. I went about a year and a half without a car (not fun times), then used the money the insurance company paid out for the car along with what I had saved up and bought an IS250. The tC was from my parents, who helped me buy it for my 18th birthday, in return that I go to college.

So technically, my parents did pay for a good chunk of my IS. I actually took a loan from them to afford the car (so I didn't have to finance), seeing I was shopping for an IS300 @ $15k, and I only had $20k saved up. My IS was 19k, almost 22k OTD, so I had to borrow 2 grand. I cut all my expenses for the next couple months to pay them back, as I hate owing people money.

Interesting thread. Im in the UK and im 36 which is young for the Lexus driver here. The majority of owners in the UK are 45+

I suppose we can't buy a lot of parts for modding the IS over here and to get anything you have to ship from the US. :-(

Idk I had mayjor surgery on my head now I have a big scar on the side of my head didnt brake a bone though lol my skull cracked though I shattered the windshield with my head
