HELP!! Check Engine, Check VSC and Traction Control lights are on
My Check Engine, Check VSC and Traction Control lights are keep coming on and off. The first time it was on for a month before I was able to take it to Lexus. They told me that it was on for to long and the computer deleted the error. They reset it and told me to bring it to a Lexus right away next time it appears. The second time, I brought it into Lexus a week after the lights came on and Lexus told me that it was either my after market intake (fujita Intake) or I was running my gas to low everytime. Now I always fill up my tank once it hits a quater tank. The lights came on again and now it is back at the Lexus Dealer. Does anyone have the same problem? BTW I have a 2008 IS 350. Thank you

Not sure what that means. But if you're serious about figuring out your problem, go to Autozone and get a $40 OBD-II scanner. Plug it into the terminal under your driver's side dash and tell us the error code. Easy as pie.
While you're at it, make sure your intake is installed securely and that your gas cap is on tight.

My car is at Lexus right now. They said they are going to try to figure out what is going on. The error code that I was told by the Lexus Rep was to "Call Lexus (Corp.) I was wondering if anyone else had a problem like this. I really dont think it has to do anything with my intake.

Lexus told me it is my Intake. Can that be possible? I had a ES300 before and nothing like this happended (I also had an after market intake). Is anyone else experiencing the same problem with their ISX50? I had the intake in for three years and this just started happening less than a year.
Thank you,

So if you get a CEL, the car's seeing an error/malfunction somewhere. The code that accompanies the CEL should provide information as to the cause/source of the problem. I have never heard of this mythical code that pops up and says only "Call Lexus Corp". Bichon above is right, the code is a letter and then numbers, and it corresponds to a particular malfunction. What the dealer could be saying is that the code indicated a particular error that they felt they needed to call Lexus Corp on, but the code itself wouldn't pop up on a scanner and say "Call Lexus Corp".
I think your first order of business is finding out what the exact code or codes were. There are certainly error codes that could come up that would indicate that your intake it causing problems, but you would want to know the code so you could verify this and ensure the dealer isn't just passing off the problem as related to your aftermarket parts.
Also, the dealer should be able to tell you more than just "it's your intake". They should be able to tell you what's happening/malfunctioning, and how your intake it causing it, and what needs to be done to fix it.
