i got the same color i went with chrome 20's and i have small black inserts that i painted GFM today. my style is a but different then most. most like those forged rims and i do also. but i dont wanna pay 3 grand for rims on a daily driver. i lucked up today and was able to get some forged ashanti rims from a rim shop in houston that was going out of business . they are used and the tires are no good but the rims are fine. so i got 2 set of 20's name brand for under 2400.

but i would just go with what ever you like bro. cause when you ask a forum of thousands of members you are gonna get hundreds of different answers. lol. congrats on you new ride.

Being a GFM owner i had hyper silver wheels. Just sold them and i have a really different wheel in the works. Should be on my car friday. Ill have a thread up saturday. I generally disagree with black with our cars. It takes away from our paint.

I have also been waiting for this thread!! I have GFM and I love it!! I think all black wheels look awesome on the GFM....I want flat black wheels for mine but am having a tough time finding the perfect ones....anyone have suggestions?

Also, one of my friends also suggested gold wheels, in case that's something you might be interested in.

Ok I am going wheel shopping today for my 08 GFM IS250...this thread caught my eye. I like the look of both the super chrome and also the all black...but I am thinking maybe get something that has both? What I am wondering is if someone can tell me what the different numbers mean? I see things posted like 20x9+38 but I don't know what each number is referring to..I assume they are measurements...?

The numbers refer to the sizes of the wheel. Using the example you cited of 20x9+38:

20: wheel diameter. This wheel would be 20 inches when measured straight across.

9: wheel width. This wheel would measure 9 inches wide.

+38: wheel offset. This number tells you how far (in mm) the mounting hub of the wheel is from the center of the wheel. These numbers can be positive, 0, or negative. The higher the number, the more "sucked in" the wheel will be to the car. Positive numbers mean the hub of the wheel is pushed outward toward the face of the wheel (resulting in a more conservative fitment), and low/negative numbers mean the hub of the wheel is pushed inward toward the brakes (resulting in a more aggressive fitment). So, in your example, a 20x9+38 wheel will be much more aggressive than a 20x9+54 wheel. Make sense?
