Default should i buy used corporate fleet is350

Hello,

i am trying to buy used is350, but it is really hard to find the car that i want.
i found one is350, but it was a corporate fleet vehicle. however, it's cpo so i will have 3years or 100,000 miles warranty. i looked at the carfax, and it looks clean. the mileage is little bit high (50k).

is buying used corporate fleet vehicle safe? normally, i wouldn't look at fleet cars or rental cars, but it's lexus.
it might be safe since lexus does not have many problems.

i want to hear opinions from lexus owners. Thank you!

We cant answer that only you can, go look at it and check it out, if its in good condition and has maint. history etc.... i dont see any problems with it. Not sure what year you are looking at but mine is an 06' and its over 150K mi right now and still drives like new so at 50k you have nothing to worry about.

sounds like it was a loaner vehicle. if it looks good and price is right, i dont see why not since it is cpo'd.

I bought an 07 with 30k and besides a few minor cosmetic blemishes it is nice inside and performs well.

If it has consistent service history and looks good go for it.

Above posters are right in that previous owners often beat up on rental/lease fleet cars. This affects the regular maintenance/wear and tear items on the car as well as potentially more crucial internal non-wear/tear components. For the former, just make sure the car's got new(ish) brakes, tires, etc. For the latter, it's more tricky because you can't be sure what damage may have been done and might lead to future issues that haven't yet arisen. However the fact that it's CPO mitigates that issue because any issues that were exacerbated by treatment as a lease car and may arise when you own it (during the CPO coverage period) will be covered. As added insurance, you might consider purchasing an extension to the CPO warranty that will cover you for a longer period.

Check out this thread for things to check for on the car: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...eed-input.html

Can you provide a link to the listing or more pics and the price so we can better gauge the deal?

just test drive it and see what it feels to drive a used fleet vehicle. level the pros and cons and decide.every comments and quotes here are relevant but taking the risk of getting this car is up to you.good luck

Unless the price is REALLY good, I would avoid loaner cars. Major problem with moral hazard and people abusing those cars.

I wouldn't buy a loaner/rental car because think about how people treat cars that they rent or are loaned by the dealer. Most people drive them pretty hard and they get really abused. Most people don't put good gas in a loaner/rental and most people wont wash it either. Not to stay a Lexus can't handle abuse, but you don't really want a car that's been driven really hard all its life and not gotten the proper care all around. I mean it may be OK since its a CPO, but still i'd rather go for one driven by someone whose taken care of it.

I wanna know what company is offering up IS350's as corporate cars. I wanna work there
