Someone scratched the *#*@ out of my car

^^^ LOL... If you love your car enough, it is the end of the world.
I felt that way too one my car door got scratched from wife's co-worker opening the door too wide and hitting a wall. Paints was gone... and metal was showing.
Sorry to hear about the scratch OP. Take it in to a body shop and they can help buff it out. It shouldn't cost too much when the scratch is on the clear coat.

While the topics up and all, I heard someone say Tech Wax? I would like to see if I could get some scrathes out of my car too any ideas of anything under say $30 that I can do myself w/out a electric buffer that works best for our car/paint?

Without electric buffer might be hard. And about wax... wax only hide scratches, but after washes wax is removing from the car and scratch coming back lol. Id say, You need to use a hard compound like Meguiars like here ( http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-mir...compound-.html ) Im using this compound, its very good, remove marks 1200 grid and very easy to clean after. And elec buffer is really recommended. Of course if this scratch is deep will be hard to remove without sanding/or respraying panel. If You need more info just pm me, I try to help You

Well with the use of Mequiars Scratch 2.0 and Tech Wax I was able to get everything cleaned up except for the large scratch. I'm pretty sure that's to the metal.
