sorry to see that scratch. scratchx has done wonders for my small scratches but the key difference is that i could pass the "fingernail test" - whereas you can't. If your fingernail catches chances are slim to none that you can cover up the scratch with just buffing. Maybe a good detailer may be able to do some magic with touch up paint. It's a very tedious and time consuming job though - (translate that to expensive). good luck!

And yes, a scratch that is fingernail deep is incredibly hard, if not impossible, to remove with a simple dual action random orbital polisher. I've never been able to remove any scratch like that with my PC 7424 with any pad or polish combination.

wow, i guess the 'scratch' gave you the itch for the is-f. nicely done.
after buying my car in less than a month some a$$wipe scuffed my front bumper, too. took me a lot of time to get it out (it's still barely visible). i hate inconsiderate people!
