I looked for a product reviews section on here, but perhaps overlooked it? If not, this'll work well here.

Purchased a generic iPod charging and audio cable (2-in-1 cable) for 2006 IS350 from a seller on eBay. Transaction was smooth and decently quick shipping for being overseas. This cable connects solidly into my Nano and the Belkin USB-to-axillary charger unit and the audio connector are both of shorter clearance...so they both clear that bottom of the center arm rest without issues. Audio sounds good, as if it was from a CD...just wish the Lexus had track forwarding abilities, like my GF's new Chevy Cruze.

All in all, $15 WELL SPENT; just thought others might like to save a few bucks from the other alternatives out there.

how has the sound quality changed? i currently use a cord straight into the audio jack and was wondering if the sound is different between the charging cord and the regular aux cord.

Not sure if this is what you mean but a cord like this that connects via line-out (on the iPhone, that's the dock connector connection) as opposed to via the headphone jack will always give you better sound quality, because you're not relying on the iPhone's weak internal amplifier.

I highly recommend this cord - http://www.amazon.com/Kensington-Cha...7148756&sr=8-3. It's all black, is made of very nice materials and doesn't pose the same risks as buying a knockoff cord from an eBay seller from China.

I'm an audio guy and I like me a good cable, it makes a difference. Several companies offering custom ipod cables.
