First of all, just because someone purchased an IS, does not necessarily mean that they can now afford to throw down $400 for a set of window visors. I put the AVS visors on my 350, and found that after a few months, the front visors were bowing in and the passenger side would be hit by the window on the way up. I have an IS350, but not $400 to spend for vent visors. I too have looked at the WeatherTech visors, but haven't made a purchase because I haven't seen an actual pic of this product on an IS. I am curious as to what they look like, and may give them a shot. The AVS visors bow in after a period of time. It is (after all) a 3" piece of plastic that is nearly 3' long, and the sun and heat will take it's toll and cause this to happen. However, it is quite irritating and I am going to change them out eventually.
Everyone on here has a Lexus, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they are rich and can afford to pay top dollar for the accessories for their car. If you are rich, good for you. Just understand that not every Lexus owner is as fortunate as you.

i put aside 20bucks a wk (instead of drinking it/eating out/buying other things), takes me FOREVER to save up enough to buy ANYTHING, its not about being rich/not about being fortuante/its about the WILL and DISCIPLINE you have to sacrifice other things in your life to get what you want, please~ don't give me that richer vs poorer excuse~

whether rich or not, just cant justify spending nearly $400bucks on 4 pieces of plastics.
hell even when i had the $500 gift card Lexus was handing out, i still couldnt justify spending it on jdm visors from sewell. sometimes its just a matter of principle.

We have sold many WeatherTech Visors / Deflectors and have literally had no complaints. Generally speaking we have no issues with WeatherTech products in general.

I think window visors in general are pretty silly looking. What's the point?? Unless you smoke or something.. but who still smokes in 2011?

Agree with this so hard. I don't understand the JDM visor thing at all...

lol, I just quit smoking so i guess I can get rid of my WeatherTechs now... seeing that I never smoked in the car anyways!! haha.

To be honest, its your car bro. Do what you want to do with it. People on the site told me to get rid of my WeatherTechs but I like them, but... I am looking for a set of JDM visors.

Get them if you wanna get them, I've had no problems with mine and they fit nice. If you want to see pics of them on, look thru my started threads. I have a thread there about how my car looks right now with pics up.

it's relative. someone could easily say the same thing, why did you spend $30-40k for some rolling metal? basing value on personal opinions of worth for engineered materials isn't a matter of principle. not arguing your opinion, just saying.

i understand its all relative to ones opinion but its 4pieces of plastics for $400bucks! and to say $30-40k rolling metal? im pretty sure back when i purchase my car in 2005 there wasnt anything out in the production line that offered a 4door with 306hp that i was looking for. if i was in the same position today as back then, i would be looking in buying a hyndai genesis with same features and better warranty.

yes its relative but seriously they are plastic pieces for insane amount of money.

CTS-V is a 4-door and they had a 2005 400hp though.

i had that car in mind as well but reluctant to buy a domestic, plus starting price of nearly 50k was not in my budget.

Get what you can afford. It's your car and YOU be happy with what you have. That being said, I had the same problem justifying the price. Close to $400. sprung for JDM visors and I'm so happy I did cause you can't beat the fitment and quality of them.
