Default Headlight Wiring, Help Needed

Sorry to create a new thread, but after some forum searching I couldnt find anything that adequetely answered my question.

In the next fews day I am going to install some lighting to replace my DRL. I have no issue with removal, opening the housing, or painting the chrome black which should be no problem.

I need to connect the power inverters to a power source which is recommended to be the drl or parking light 12V. I cant tell from the directions exactly what I need to do in order to make the connection work properly. I want the stock DRL to not even turn on and use Angel Eyes as my DRLs. The directions are rather awful when it comes to how to get this wired the right way and I dont want to make a mistake, and make sure if I need something from the store I get it now instead of the day I am doing the work.

Thanks in advance

So you don't want your high beams to function anymore right?

If that will get the stock DRL to not turn on anymore then yes, unless there is an easier way to hook up these Halos to be on and have the DRL not.

From your other posts it sounds like you work at a Lexus dealership. Bring it in and have them turn off your DRLs. They should be able to do it in about 5-10 minutes.

Well I know the only way to have the DRLs not turn on while keeping the functionality of the high beams is to have the dealership use the techstream to disable the DRLs. Otherwise you'd need to remove the high beam bulbs. Sounds like you just need to tap the parking light wire on the headlight harness. Easiest way to figure it out is to follow the wire from the parking light bulb. I'm not 100% sure however the effects of simply tapping the high beam/DRL wires for what you want to do.

i work at the dealership so thats a non issue, might just have them do that. I just have a concern with wiring the new lights to the right source so that i can turn them on or off with the light **** in the car.
