Default New Guy Here.

Hey all,
Name's Matt, I live in Sacramento, CA. The car in question is a 2007 IS250. It has just under 33k miles. It is Starfire Pearl. The car is freaking amazing. It however is not my car, it is my girlfriends, but I'm on here to ask questions that may arise, as well as do some mods to the car that she won't notice easily, so it's more fun for me when I get to drive it. My car is a 2003 Mustang GT, which is fun, especially cuz I am a Ford guy, but driving my lady's Lexus is really changing my mind.

Anyway I do have one question right off the bat. On the rear-view mirror, where the "AUTO" button is, the two lights around it are both supposed to light up green, correct? One of the lights doesn't on the woman's car (passenger side if it matters). Thanks for the responses to the question, and glad to be here .

The new 5.0 is amazing. Word on the street is that the new 5.0 is so efficient that with a twin-screw blower, and at the same boost as a twin-screw-equipped GT500, the 5.0 is actually making MORE rwhp than the GT500 (5.4).

However, my car that is luring me to the other side is the IS-F. That thing is a beautiful car with great performance.

I totally hear that. The new 5.0 is a beast, but jumping behind the wheel of an F is a totally different (and much better) experience. I sold Lexus for a while and drove the F's on our lot all the time. I never got tired of hearing the 5liter opening up (VVT-i). Good luck on getting an F....i'll be jealous for sure.

Tell me about it...every time I see one, I kick myself inside and ask why I didn't have an extra $20k when I bought my car

Ya I have yet to actually drive an F, but I have been lucky enough to drive a 2003 Cobra (my true dream car) which is comparable to an F horsepower wise. I can only imagine the 5.0 vs IS-F.

Yeah I hear you on those prices. It kills me because everything about the F is calling me over to Lexus, but when I see the price I think "**** that's two 03-04 Cobras, or a used GT500 and some extra $$$ for some 'fun' mods" ya know?

Ah man I'd love to come, but I got summer baseball (for college) on Sundays. I'll try and make it out though sometime to other events. Thanks for the invite anyway.
