Default gfx lip, dosnt match

me and my roommates noticed it, and i had it done by the dealer, the dealer said its because its a plastic part, and they used the right paint code. I have crystal white and it looks a little brighter then my white, it looks like the white from 07+...I was just wondering if anyone had the same problem plastic or non metal parts not matching....btw i am picky so it mite just be over analyzing it, far away you cant tell a difference just up close.

I would mention to the dealer that the bumper is also plastic (well, poly). But, it will be be hard to match because of age and yellowing of the car and most places will not go to the trouble of trying to custom match.

Yeah, it's really tough to match . Usually new paint is going to look brighter. Mine came pre-painted and i noticed it was brighter right away, but unless your trying to compare it really not too bad.

What year is your car? Do you have any pics so we can see the difference?

If he has crystal white I'm pretty sure its an 06.... only way to make it match is to blend the paint. Otherwise jus live with it... you got new paint vs 6year old paint

just wait it out? hopefully it will get some exposure from natural elements, so the paint will fade into the rest of the body paint color.

Yeah it's to difficult to match. I just had mine done as well. It's a different color than yours, but it's definately noticable up close how fresh the lip paint is up against the existing bumper paint. I'm fine with it though.

White cars is hard to paint match... most of the time, a body shop will do a "blend" where they paint the other body panels to match it. Basically it's used to hide the difference from paint fade caused by UV over time.

thanks all, and i did call the dealer back and they said basically the same that since it was plastic and not a metal part its harder for them to match the paint, and they said they used the right paint code for an 06 model, i guess im just picky, i can live with it i guess, just wondering why my front lip came out much better. Sorry no pics right now, dont have a camera right now.

My GFX kit is also a little off from CW. So it may just be like that.

even stock cars out of the factory, if you look closely the paint on the bumper and paint on the car itself don't quite match, its because one part is plastic and one part is metal, now when you get the lip and try to match too it wont quite match.
