Default Metra TYTO-01 problems!! please help!

So Im trying to install my aftermarket double din and bought the Metra TYTO-01. I thought it would be a simple install but I ran into problems. First when I follow the metra guide, my DD powers up and plays perfectly but since Im plugging the metra module to the 20pin lexus harness, there are only two harnesses going into my CD changer and makes my climate controls not work.
When I unplug the module and plug all three harnesses into the CD changer, my climate controls work perfectly.

So I thought instead of plugging my metra harness to my lexus harness, I could plug the three lexus harnesses to my CD changer then tap my metra harness to it while its plugged into my CD changer. But now both dont work. If I unplug my metra module my climate controls work fine.

anyone have this problem? or know how to fix it??

Do you have the car on or in accessory when you plug the metra piece into the factory harness? Is this the correct harness for the 2IS?

I have the car on. Yes the manual says that it works with my 2006 IS250. I have non-ML.

not many 2IS members have an aftermarket HU. your best bet is to contact metra directly

Maybe try plugging it in without the ignition on at all, then after its all in turn it on. If that still doesnt work your gunna wanna talk to their tech support, their really helpful.

So I just called Metra and they told me that it just wont work with the car. I questioned why the manual said it can work with the is250 and he simple said he doesnt know.

So anyone know what I can do to make this work?

try contacting a reputable audio installer chain like al&ed's audio.. IIRC they've done a couple custom installs for the 2IS's and might be able to help you out. not too sure if they bypassed the actual system or set up entirely new power cables. either way, it wouldn't hurt to ask/come in.

Yeah, Ill try give them a call tom'w. for now I want to see if I can figure a way to use this or just make it work without having to waste money on more parts. LOL

I was thinking of tapping the wires before the go into the factory amp? idk~ just trying to brainstorm. haha

Default nice job!

Did you relocate the clock and abs display yourself? Looks nice and clean. I plan to do something similar when I get a chance and have been collecting what I'll need. I was wondering if your tyto-01 has the high out input or the low out input (RCA plugs)? The one I got from Amazon has the high input with no RCA but I would like to use RCA out as the deck intended... Please let me know if you did or did not use your decks RCA outputs, if so where did you get it?
