Everyone who is checking there - make sure it is in the shade or your garage. I checked mine the other day in the light and couldn't see it at all...when I looked this morning in the garage it was right there.

2011 HID Headlights w/ LED Strip - (not just F-Sport)

Sadly, it seems to be an issue in the same spots of each Headlight..

This tells me the hid wiring shoved in there underneath, it is heating up to a point where it's causing the Black Chrome finish to detach from the plastic frame.

Definitely a design flaw on what is heating up OR a design flaw on the manufacturing process of the Black Chrome Frames.

I went to my dealer today and showed them the problem. We also checked the new ISs in the lot and they all had the issue, too. The service manager was quite surprised. They wrote up in my record and the Lexus database that I reported the problem for documentation purposes and gave me a printout for my records. I urge everyone to go their dealer and do the same... be sure it gets entered in the national database.

Next step is to email Lexus with a photo attached.

I doubt it's the wires heating up. Brand new cars I saw in the dealer lot today had the same problem as guys posting on here with 5000 miles. I'm think it's a flaw with the black matte finish. I'll guess we'll have to wait and see.

Yup, checked mine and there's a tiny bit of bubbling as well
My car goes in for service soon, so I'll definitely point it out!

are some of the cars you guys are seeing on the lot, are they brand new? as in like less than 20 miles? Im asking because there is an obvious problem. Im just wondering if its the heat from the Projector. I just wonder if they are coming fresh off the truck with this problem already visable.

i don't think the heat is cause the bubble, I think is the paint job? but why all of them on the same area? even the brand new cars too, those cars on the lot with few miles on them, i don't think it cause from the projectors light heat? that weird

thats whats I was guessing at, it being at the same spot on all the lights. Poorly painted lights + heat from the projector would cause the paint to bubble in these specific spots. I dont think its the sun, but the new cars having it throws me for a loop since the lights havent been used.

An HID bulb is so so so hot...that I would guess just 2 minutes of illumination to create this issue.
