I received an email with a reference number and it said someone would get back with me within 24 hours. Here it is over 48 hours later and I have not received a reply.

I dropped my car off today for service and told them about the issue. The service manager came out to have a look and said he's never heard anything about it. I then walked him over to a demo car to have a look and it was starting to wrinkle, probably because it barely has its headlights on, nonetheless, it was still showing a defect. He said he will advise lexus of the issue and obviously until lexus decides to do anything about it, their hands are tied. I suggest we all continue to do the same and push for some sort of action from Lexus.

That doesn't sound right to me, but if it is you could only imagine the heat going on inside that headlight whether it's a new car or one with 5,000 miles on it, I'm sure this is the cause.
Lol I'm sorry I couldn't stop laughing when I read this. Wow imagine if the actual temperature of the light was actually 7000 degrees F. It would disintegrate into thin air as soon as it turned on! The kelvin in this scenario is totally used to measure the color temperature of light, not heat temperature.

You're VERY right about this. I also first checked this under full sunlight and thought mine had been spared from the problem. After reading this thread, I just went to double-check under a cloudy, overcast sky under a light, drizzling rain and, sure enough, I'm starting to get the dreaded bubbling, too. Not as bad as the photos on this thread yet, but I guess it's only a matter of time...

Check out the dedicated thread I started a few days ago:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ng-defect.html

I posted the email Lexus sent me. They claim there have been no complaints other than mine and there is no problem. I will be contacting my dealer next week to try and set up a meeting with the midwest regional manager so he can see for himself that all 2011s have this defect. I urge you to do the same.
