For a year now ive been wanting to put wheels on my car without lowering. Personally i cant stand the gap anymore. So within the next week im buying new 18" wheels and coilovers. However my mechanic is getting married so ill be on my new wheels without a drop for a while. Ill post a pic before i drop it

Unfortunately this is the only pic I have before coilovers were put on, but tires on them are 215/40/18...Volk GT-U 18x8 +29

I can post an after pic if requested, since it's kinda off topic

Feel free to post the after. It's interesting that your fender gap looks a lot larger than some of the other pics...what gives? I take it that the profile on your tire is lower than stock?

Yeah, they were 215/40/18 tires. The tires were shot (bought wheels used) so I replaced them with 225/40/18. I'll have to dig through my pics if I took any pics of those wheels with the 225 tires and stock suspension. I'm on the road on business so I'll have to search for pics when I get home this weekend.
Here's some after pics, dropped on BCR coilvers

The fender gap on all these is just about the same. It's just his picture was the only one with the fender well lit up... you can see the flash go off in the front of the car. All the rest of the shots are not as exposed and have a shadow, hence why they look lower. But really all cars are 4x4 status.

Thanks for starting this thread. I bought the 19X8.5 +45 (the prodrive ones, got them super cheap) for my wife's 06 awd but havn't put it on yet. When I put them on I"m definitely not lowering it.
The rest is slightly off topic.
I know its going to look higher etc. but after reading about the vibrations and stuff related to lowering the AWDs, i just can't imagine doing it. Why would anyone put up with vibrations caused by the drive train after its lowered and think its ok?
I searched high and low(in the forum) for answers and also spoke with approx. 8 shops locally and they all think it will cause some sort of damage over time.
Can anyone chime in, cause it seems like ther is no solution to this problem.
