Default How do I remove the gauge cover? I have condensation inside. PIC

Yesterday, I was cleaning my dash with meguiar's interior cleaner and sprayed the clear gauge cover with it, within seconds, condensation formed on the inside of the cover. At first, I thought it was on the outside but when I wiped it, it remained. I've always lightly sprayed it and this is the first time this has happened. Needless to say, it's annoying. How do I remove the clear cover to wipe the inside of it?

Mental note: Spray the rag next time, not the clear cover.

maybe a mild heat source. try a blow dryer, from a good distance. Go slow and take your time. if it's condensation, then it should eventually clear up.

Good idea Diablo. I will give that a shot.

Also forgot to mention, I blasted the AC hoping the cold, dry air will clear it up but it didn't work the entire way on a 45 minute commute.

"TOTAL of 4 screws" I think theres a how to on here, You take the obvious ones off 1st that are located on top... Then you have two more that are hidden behind the ETC switch and the dimmer ****.

You have to pull/pop that plastic out just enough so you can un-screw the other two.

i replaced my dash plastic 2months ago.

Diablo, I tried the hair dryer. No dice (reasons for this revealed later).

Rikg35: I used your tips on removing the clear plastic and removed it quite easily (thanks). Upon removing it, I realized, that condensation looking film is on the outside! WTF...I scrubbed it pretty hard and it still didn't come off. Tried window cleaner and that didn't work either. Now I'm puzzled... I took a tiny amount of adhesive remover to it and that did the trick. It was very stubborn, must have been something on the rag I used.

Gville350: I have friends in SC so I know exactly what you mean!

The cluster plastic seems to scratch very easily ... I should replace mine sometime.
