I had a G37S (Coupe) for 39 months and loved every second. Looks wise the F-Sport wins hands down against the sedan, but the Infiniti's performance is unsurpassable. When you drive both cars you will notice the vivacious nature of the G and realize that the Lexus truly feels like a hybrid. The 7 speed transmission in the newer Gs is a bit hesitant, but at least the paddle shifters and tiptronic mode are functional, unlike the IS's. As for the interior, the F-sports "microfiber" inserts leaves some people cold, but the Infiniti's is no better as it is thin, bubbles, and cracks over time. I just got a 2011 IS350 F-Sport and still haven't decided if I like the seats. They look great, but some people complain that the stitching feathers.
If you were considering a G coupe vs. the IS, I'd say go for the G because no other car sounds as good as the VQ.
If you have any more questions please feel free to ask

If you're looking at almost the same price for both the IS250 and G37, I'd probably sway towards the G37. Personally I think the looks are pretty evenly matched between the two, but the extra power from the G is hard to deny.

Unless there are some features you really want in the IS that the G doesn't have, I'd probably lean towards the Infiniti.

Basially...if you are in love with the new LED headlights, then go for the IS. Each company has done a few things better than the other. What I like about my IS that I didn't like about the Infiniti is that it has a black roof liner and stock led lighting. I kind of have a lighting fetish , so I do love what Lexus has to offer.

When i was buying my first car i was stuck between the G35 sedan and the IS250 (both used and both AWD). You have the same dilema i did 2 years ago. Like you, i dont care about performance. I only care about looks/style and reliability. I actually decided on getting the G35, until it was sold right before i could snag it. I chose it due to the ride felt a bit more smooth and it was in better condition than the IS. I had no choice but to settle for the IS250 or wait and continue looking, which i refused to do. Two years later im so glad that G35 sold. I love my lexus and mods make it stand out so much more. All my friends love my car and i get compliments all the time. I believe the style of this car is my favorite to this day. Alot of fun and good memories with this car. I feel like with the G35, my experience would have been inferior. I am completely unbiased as i said i would've owned a G35 if it wasn't sold. IS250 vs G37 sedan. IS250 winner hands down. IS250 vs G37 coupe. Now thats a tough one...But i still would go IS250. Good luck!

So I know you mentioned this earlier, but why not just buy a 2010 with a few thousand miles on it? It's still practically brand new and will save you easily a couple grand. The packages/color you want are nothing out of the ordinary, so you shouldn't have much trouble.

^ This!

..and Lexus customer service is on a level of its own. I've never gotten such exceptional customer service from the corporate company and the dealerships before.

Yeah i agree Lexus Customer Service is great.

But i'd go with is250.. im not saying this because i own a IS.... But i'd try to wait until a Blue IS250 F Sport pops up...

IS250 Looks better overall. You dont care about speed.... So i'd say go with the IS250. G37 is a gas guzzler. I use to own a g35 and the gas was terrible compared to the IS.

G25 vs. IS 250 would be better comparison. this also applies when comparing G37 to IS 350. sedan vs. sedan

+1. If you come to a Lexus forum asking for opinions of course the majority will say get the Lexus. Everyone will think the car they own is the better one or else they would of jumped ship or bought that car to begin with.

With that said, there is really no comparison between a 250 vs g37. I would get the G37 hands down. The G37 will beat the 250 in every aspect minus the design, which is subjective.

Btw, this thread needs a poll.

I saw go for the G over the 250. My aunt has a 350 and I've driven a 250 before and i notice the difference. If it was a 350 vs G37 i would say 350. Personally, I don't like how the G37 looks. Lexus is know for their quality, reliability, and comfort (aside from the pass recalls the media has put on blast). I honestly don't know how the ride is in a G37, but my GS is pretty smooooooth. So I say 350>G37>250.
