Lowered as a Daily Driver?
#17
The lower you go the more chances for getting into more issues in the road. Yes driving in SF in a lowered IS350 is a real BISH' pot holes, uneven roads, large cracks, dips, bumps, ripples etc... I miss my Chevy Z71 when I go through roads like in SF.

2inches and half or less is fine with out rubbing more then that will get rubbed, most ppls slammed their cars for show..... i like my to be low which no finger gap and is just right height and still go fast

Not sure what height you were thinking but honestly driving low is a PITA. if I don't know the rodes of where I'm going I'm literally terrified the whole time. Going up driveways you have to go very slowly and angled which catches other drivers offguard and can end up in an accident. Low is a lifestyle, adjust your driving habits and you'll be fine.
This is just my opinion, keep in mind I drive only half an iPhone off the ground.

^^ wow you said it well brotha, almost everything i would say LoL...to add up, there are places that you can't simply go. I stop at dunkin donuts everyday to work and i know i can't make up the driveway so i just park by the sidewalk and turn the hazard on.

i DD on tein s springs 1.6"/1.0" F/R.
I am extremely careful, but still scrape the underside of my front bumper every other day or so when leaving store parking lots. s. florida tends to have huge "gutters" on the side of the streets that you really cannot avoid when pulling in or out of a store's lot, especailly at speeds slow enough that allow you to merge into the retail corridor. no damage that meets the eye though. i JUST clear parking curbs. stock 18s and no lip.
if you want to DD a lowered car with a lip in south fla, i would highly advise against it.

I'm on Megan EZs and drive with half a finger gap all the way around on 19's. I've never scraped my lip but have torn away some holes in the fender liners.
But these folks are right, drivin low is a driving lifesyle change. For instance, I know that there are certain driveways that shouldnt be attempted and that there are certain areas in the rode that will cause me to rub if I go to fast over the dips.
You get used to it, and enjoy the ride.

I guess that's it. The "low & slow" lifestyle isn't for me. I bought a 350 for a reason and driving slow certainly wasn't one of them. I love the look but I don't think I could adjust to having to worry about every bump and dip in the road to be happy with it. Great input all around!
