Default Aftermarket headlight housings??>

I'm trying to find aftermarket headlight housings that are black for my 2008 model with factory HID's. Beens looking on ebay and good searching and can't find squat. Anybody know who makes them and where I can buy them?

I dont think anyone makes them. Most people that wanna achieve this just do it themselves.

Search and u can find a DIY or u can watch how to do it on youtube i believe

Yup, all the black housing ones I've seen are custom painted. Nobody really makes aftermarket headlights for our cars, and even if they did, I wouldn't trust them on our cars anyways. The cutoffs of most aftermarket headlights are terrible. They're all about form > function, which should not be the case, as our headlights are the most important feature for driving at night

well this sucks. I've taken the car to many competent shops and they all told me the same thing... not to do it because eventually they will leak. Grrrr this sucks, I need to figure something out. I feel like black housing is so much more sexy than tinting the lens.

Just do it yourself. Its not that hard to do. Ive done about 6 sets already and it normally takes about 6 hours. The only reason they would leak is if you didnt put enough sealant. Search for a diy

I had mine done at Lightwerkz. I had a full retrofit done to the headlights though. The painted housing cost me 120 (discount with the retrofit). I think they charge 180 for the painted housing, which isn't too bad. They did a good job on mine. You can always attempt to do it yourself, as quite a few members have, but personally, I wouldn't go about doing it unless you're pretty confident in your craftsmanship.

If the shop/person that does it for you sucks then yes it will leak. Just do research around your area and see if there is a legit place that does this sort of thing. GL

since our headlights move when we drive & turn / brake I dont think it would be very cost effective to build aftermarket ones. They would be so expensive unless they removed that functionality.

I just did an HID projector retrofit to my headlights. Where in Florida are you I'll do everything for you for a fee.

Forgot to add that I use a heatgun to open up my headlights not an oven as some people do. This would be ok for non AFS headlights but since yours are I would not risk it as you may damage something.
