Default Tire Noise

My original Bridgestones were noisy... come time for replacement I thought I'd try a different tire.... Hankook Ventus RS2 - after 8000 miles, these bad boys are noisier then the Bridgestone... It's so loud when people ride in my car they ask "what's that noise??" and you really have to turn the stereo up to get rid of it.

Are there quieter tires out there? I don't race my car, or do anything too agressive (although I do enjoy hitting the throttle all the way down when I get on the freeway sometimes just for fun..) so I don't really need the sportiest tires, I'd rather have a little more quiet and comfort....

Michelin PS2 / Super Sports. I also think the Conti DWS are quieter personally.

Sounds like a good recommendation on the DWS... Almost all the reviews on Discount Tire are positive and say stuff like "car is much quieter... drives and handles like a new car again..." etc... When I see feedback like that, it leads me to believe these tires are really the real deal... I had Continentals on my Ford Escape (factory) and they were also good and lasted me 50,000 miles (of course I know if I put them on my IS they won't!)
