IS 250 SR Bodykit falling off!
Hello guys. New to the forum today, but have been reading for some time. Great forum and a lot of useful info.
I have an IS250 SR Auto registered Dec '08. It is currently in the workshop for the 3rd time to try and reattach the bodykit and boot spoiler. I have looked hard across the forums and cannot see this anywhere. I know it is a problem, as in my desperation to get this rectified, I have travelled various dealers and taken pictures of at least 12 cars with the same issue. The kit seems to be deforming from UV or heat and pulling off the bumpers/bootlid. Last time mine was in they have squirted glue down the back of the kit and the spoiler to try and seal it. However this looks a mess and does little to solve the issue as it soon pops off again.
The car in question has 24,000 miles and has never seen a spraybooth or been grounded on a high kerb.
Surely I cannot be alone out there with this issue? I saw a '59 reg one this morning with the same issue in a carpark! It looked worse than mine and the kit was rubbing the silver paint from the front bumper corner it was hanging that bad!

I have an '06 IS350 with Port Installed Ground Effects kit (front lip, rear lip, and sides), plus the trunk spoiler, plus I added a Lexon roof spoiler and they don't show any sign whatsoever of lifting or coming apart from the body. Are these Lexus parts or aftermarket pieces? Some pictures would be a big help.
