Here's a quick pic of the New New 2012 Head Light housings..

As mentioned ealier, the material that was having a problem was updated to the same glossy black paint that is used inside the rest of the light housings..

Ths happens to be a 2012 Nebula Gray Pearl IS-F

HMMMMM good point... what's Lexus gonna do with all these returned 2011 headlights? Those with connections or work for a Lexus dealer should help us buy these out! I'd go for a set if it's cheap enough

For those who complain...

More than likely the dealership will have to collect them for the factory core exchange or destroy them...

These HIGH dollar defected housinggs will not be back doored out of the dealership..

I got my headlamps from Sewell and will need to follow up with them on their one-year warranty. At some point soon I'll request to return my headlamps for the updated version.

I just wonder as well, would sewell replace the headlights that we bought from them under TSB?

Under the TSIB, probably not. Because for TSIB's you have to have the parts on a car that falls between specific Vin/mileage/year ranges.

The updated headlamps are out. They're on every new 2012 at the dealer. I plan to follow up with Sewell, since they have a one year warranty against defects. Surely they have access to the updated parts. I just need to make sure the replacement they send me is the updated version and not the defective ones.

If you bought from Sewell, you don't need to worry about the TSB (unless your parts are over a year old). Sewell has a one year warranty, so as long as your headlamps are less than a year old they should replace them with the new, updated version.

Ok that good, I hope that sewell would honor the warranty as bubble defective

If sewell gets the new ones and offer another discounted sale I'm all over it for sure. I'm curious as to what most of you guys did to deal with the AFS light? Also for the members that bought their 2011+ headlights from someplace other than the dealer or sewell did you ever think about opening the headlights and sand it down and black it out yourself? Could be a quick easy and cheap solution
