ALL 11 DRIVERS MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON TOP OF THIS!!!!!!!!
Just claification, By failed do you mean that the paint bubbled up or your running lights failed to turn on. Thanks

Got mine scheduled for this saturday.

The service advisor had no idea what I was talking about but said if there is a TSB out about it then they will know exactly what i'm talking about when I come in.

Hoping it doesn't take that long cause I gotta go get my o2 sensor replaced in the afternoon =P

I have an '11 IS250 and I got the headlights replaced 2 weeks ago. When I first got my car back the whole light housing looked different to me. It is like the projector or bubble part of the projector they made it smaller or less noticeable. Plus I noticed the LED lights being a lot brighter (whiter like 6000k lights) than the last ones. The "eyelash" look isn't so bad as you don't really notice it until you are close to the car. I put in 6000k HID lights in (headlight, brights, and fogs) and the dealership told me if the bubbling happens again it might be cause from my bulbs (because they are hotter). Just giving you all a heads up, if you are having your headlamps changed make sure to put stock light bulbs back in.

That's a given..!!!!

They can deny the warranty claim if they don't see OEM bulbs inside the OEM housings..

Only if they have reason to suspect that the bulb caused the paint bubbling, which is unlikely.

I agree it's better to be safe than sorry, but the chances of them denying to repair this based on having aftermarket bulbs in the headlights is very low.

Well the problem is someone makes a "Call"...

So I'd rather not have them document "aftermaket bulbs found inside housings"..

or

Until we see a thread that pops up saying.. "Dealership denied 2011+ Headlight Warranty due to aftermarket 800000000K HID bulbs..." LoL

The TSB only applies to 2011-12 models equipped with HID headlamps. If you have any other car, you'd be looking at trying to do a parts warranty on the headlights as opposed to the TSB.

Booo. Its okay. Im not a big fan of the eyelash. Seems out of place from the pictures i have seen. Hopefully the paint only wrinkles and does end up flaking off over time.
