Engine Oil Flush/Sludge?
So, a 2007 car I am looking at on the carfax at 55k says "Engine Oil Flush" (also in that service was fuel rail replacement)
They said they did routine oil changes. There are oil changes every 10k on the carfax - up to 35k - then nothing until the 55k oil flush.
Then routine maintenance again done at the Lexus dealer up to the current point it's at now.
I always was under the impression an engine flush does more harm than good.
This a red flag or maybe just an 'extra sold' by Lexus that they bought?

depending on the type of oil and driving it may be ok but if it was my I would pass. I'm super **** about oil changes.
I would also register the vin on lexus owner (on the lexus website) and look at the the service history on there as its been my experience that car fax is hit and miss on that stuff.

Called the dealer:
they said because they hadnt seen the car in 20k miles. (and the low oil light came on) they recommended pulling the valve cover and inspecting.
upon pulling the VC - they found no sludge
